Meet Our Bombshells - Jenn N

The past 12 months are unprecedented in so many ways. It has made many of us look at things in a new way and even more, support each other in new ways. When one of our very special clients came to us and said she wanted to gift sessions away we were blown away. This very special Bombshell Fairy Godmother changed things drastically for 2 very special woman. Jenn N is one of the recipients of the gifted sessions.

Meet Jenn! 2020 was a year for so many of us. For Jenn, it was a big one, she celebrated 40 and instantly became an unemployed homeschool mama of a spunky kindergartener. Her and her husband have been together since 2009 and they will be celebrating their 9th wedding anniversary in 2021.

Before we get too far, here's what we like to call before and after photos.

Q: Why was this the right time for you to do a session? What was your motivation or reason for booking a session?

A: I had a breast reduction in 2019. My quality of life and appreciation for my body was restored after the surgery and I knew that I wanted to celebrate myself. Turning 40, finally feeling empowered to do something so bold and being the very grateful recipient of a gifted session, gave me the confidence to schedule my session.

Q: What was the favorite part of your session?

A: There are so many pieces to a session and honestly, each one was so special. I went lingerie shopping with my best friend. I secretly ordered lingerie and shoes online and hid them from my husband. I got a facial, my nails done, Botox and my eyebrows done before my shoot. Just the self pampering was amazing! Sitting in a chair for an hour having my hair and makeup done left me feeling like a Kardashian! I’ve never felt more beautiful and special as I did when that chair turned around and I saw myself in the mirror. Once I got in front of the camera, any fear I may have had flew out the window. Shawn instantly made me feel comfortable with his professionalism and expertise. I felt so powerful and totally in control of myself; quite possibly for the first time in years.

Q: Has this session changed anything for you? Tell me about it.

A: I have a renewed sense of pride in my body. When I was younger, I looked in the mirror and loved what I saw; a thin, gorgeous young woman who turned heads wherever she went. I lost that feeling after becoming a mother and gaining weight. Doing this session showed me just how gorgeous I really am, mom body and all. I’ve birthed a human being and I have decades of life experience carried in my eyes and smile. It’s absolutely something to be proud of. And if I’m being totally honest, this experience has completely rejuvenated my relationship and intimacy with my husband. My confidence and pride has ignited something in both of us and that “spark” that often gets lost in the shuffle of day to day married life is back.

Q: What was the best part of the entire experience? Would you change anything about it?

A: This experience was literally life changing. It sounds so cliche to say, but it was. There’s not a day that has passed since my shoot where I don’t think about how grateful I am that I had the courage to do it. Every single aspect of my life has improved in ways I never even imagined. I’m 40 years old, feeling incredible about myself and my beauty and I’m proud to show it to the world.

Q: What would you say to someone who's thinking about doing a boudoir session?

A: Please don’t let fear or those extra pounds be the deciding factor in whether you do a shoot. If you wait for the perfect time or the goal weight, you will never do it. Look yourself in the mirror, tell yourself you are worth it and GO FOR IT. You will never regret believing in yourself and investing in your beauty.

Q: Is there anything else you would like to share?

A: As a recipient of a gifted shoot, I recognize the incredible gift I was given. I recognize that another woman looked at herself and felt so incredible that she wanted to give that to another woman. I can’t adequately put into words what that means to me. We are all living in one of the wildest times in modern history and to know that there was someone with such a kind heart that simply wanted to give the gift of self love is so moving.

To my “Fairy God Mother”, the secret Bombshell who gifted me this photo shoot, thank you for helping to give me back a piece of me that I thought Motherhood took away forever. I feel indebted to you forever. My husband also thanks you (wink wink).

Shawn and Michelle- you both are so incredible and I am so thankful that I got to meet you. This has been a life changing experience and I need you to know that the work you both do is so important and I will never forget the way you both have made me feel.
