Once you've selected your session date, your Couture Black experience truly begins.

We'll send you our 34-page Boudoir Preparation Guide, thoughtfully created to answer virtually every question you might have before your session. From what to wear and how to prepare, to what to expect on the day of your shoot, it's filled with everything you need to feel informed, confident, and excited.

If you can't find the answer you're looking for, we're always just a phone call, text, or email away. We're here to answer your questions, ease your nerves, and guide you through every step of the experience.

THE SESSION

The day begins with a warm welcome to our private studio, where you'll spend the next few hours being completely taken care of.

Your experience starts with professional hair and makeup by our talented glam team. As they create a look that's perfectly suited to you, you'll have time to relax, chat, and settle into the excitement of the day.

Once you're camera ready, we'll review the outfits you've brought together and help you choose the best place to begin. Then it's time for the fun to start.

Don't worry if you've never been in front of a professional camera before. You don't need to know how to pose or even what to do with your hands. Our team will guide you through every pose, every expression, and every movement, making small adjustments that create beautifully flattering portraits.

We always begin with a simple set of poses designed to help you relax and build your confidence. Then comes one of our favorite moments of the entire experience: your very first peek at the back of the camera.

It's the moment we lovingly call the "Holy S@#!"* moment.

Almost every client has the same reaction.

"That's me? ... Damn, I'm beautiful."

From there, everything changes. The nerves disappear, your confidence grows, and you begin to see yourself through a completely different lens.

Throughout your session you'll typically enjoy three to five outfit changes, a variety of sets, and plenty of encouragement along the way. Every session is thoughtfully tailored to you, creating portraits that celebrate your personality, your confidence, and your story.

THE REVEAL

A few weeks after your session, you'll return to the studio for one of the most meaningful moments of the entire Couture Black experience.

This is the first time you'll see your finished portraits, beautifully presented in a personalized slideshow before viewing each image individually. It's an emotional moment that often leaves clients seeing themselves in a completely new light.

Together, we'll select your favorite portraits and design the perfect way to enjoy them for years to come. Whether you choose handcrafted albums, stunning wall art, fine art collections, or high-resolution digital portraits, every piece is thoughtfully created to celebrate your experience and preserve your story.

Because we believe your portraits deserve more than a life on a phone, we offer beautiful artwork designed to be enjoyed every day. Flexible, interest-free payment plans are also available, making it easy to invest in the images you love.
