Meet Our Bombshells - Brandi P

Have you ever thought of doing something for you and then putting it off? Life happens. It's important to come back around and remember to celebrate you. Brandi is so thankful that she did. She has found a new fire.

Before we get too far, here's what we like to call before and after photos.

Q: Why was this the right time for you to do a session? What was your motivation or reason for booking a session?

A: I first thought of doing a boudoir session as a gift to my husband for our wedding. I didn't really know how to go about it, and I'm a huge procrastinator, so it never came to fruition. After having two kids and my body changing so much, I started to regret never having the images taken. The fall before COVID I started a self-love journey. As I started getting physically stronger and gain back confidence in who I was I found Couture Black on Facebook. I joined the Couture Black Lounge and began seeing all the testimonials from women saying to celebrate who you are today. They also kept mentioning this Bombshell Effect and I knew that was exactly what I needed.

Q: What was the favorite part of your session?

A: My favorite part of my session was my journey between booking my session and the day of my shoot. I had already begun working out when I booked my session, but obviously it was an added motivation to get my butt in shape! My session was originally booked for March 2020, the week after everything shut down. I rebooked easily for August and gained an extra few months to find myself and chisel out some more of the old me. By the time my session came around, I had already been feeling the Bombshell Effect for a couple of months. I went into the studio with a little bit of nerves, but a re-found confidence in myself that I never would have found without Couture Black and the other Bombshells.

Q: Has this session changed anything for you? Tell me about it.

A: My session changed how I treat myself. I had been stuck in a rut for a while and needed something more than "self care" to find myself. It seemed like a crazy decision to book my session when I did, I was nowhere near where I wanted to be physically for a boudoir session, but knew it would somehow work out. Booking my session made me refocus on my health but also pamper myself a little. I spent more time doing things like exfoliating and moisturizing. Something so small, but added with all the other small stuff made a world of difference in my daily life.

Q: What was the best part of the entire experience? Would you change anything about it?

A: The best part of the experience was the amazing confidence boost and the images I have hanging on my wall to remind me daily that I am a Bombshell. I love seeing my badass face on my wall every morning when I wake up. It's a great way to start the day.

Q: What would you say to someone who's thinking about doing a boudoir session?

A: DO IT! It was such an incredible experience! Every woman deserves to feel amazing about themselves. Don't wait until you are perfect, no one is ever perfect! Just take a deep breath and book it. Then don't turn back. Enjoy the process: the shopping, the Lounge with the amazing support system it provides, the pampering! I always wanted to be a VS Angel. The feel of shimmying in the mirror with those wings on!!! BOOK IT NOW!

Q: Is there anything else you would like to share?

A: I just want to thank the team! This experience was so much more than just getting some pictures taken. I'm so glad that I found your studio and every image makes me feel powerful and beautiful. You are doing incredible work not just in your photography, but in creating a community of powerful and supportive women. Thank you!
