It’s the morning of you session, you’ve woken up and you wonder, how are you going to prepare for the day. You’re nervous, I know, you want everything to be perfect. Here are the top 4 tips that we give to all of our clients to help prepare you for the day.
1 - EAT!
Yes! You read that right! You might be tempted not to eat for various reasons, wether it be nerves or afraid that you will look bloated or whatever else you tell yourself. Not eating will lead to lack of energy. Now we aren’t saying eat a Thanksgiving meal where you need your stretchy pants, but eat something to give you energy, you're going to need it. Posing is work and we don't need anyone passing out because they didn't nourish their body.
2 - LOOSE CLOTHING
This is not the time to wear your spanx or your compression workout gear. These things leave those indentations on your skin that take time to fade.
3 - SKIP THE WORKOUT
If you’re anything like me, I love to work out first thing in the morning. If you must get a something in, stick to cardio only. Don’t do anything to burn out your muscles. Trust me you will be thankful you took this advice. Posing and then holding the pose is not easy, even the best trained athletes that we have had in studio feel like they have had a full body workout after a shoot.
4 - RELAX
Relax, you are going to be fine. Just think, you’ve got a major pampering session ahead. You’re makeup and hair are going to look and feel more amazing than you already do. Trust me, I know you’re nervous and I know this is probably the hardest one to do. But you are in for an experience like you never had and get ready to feel like the rockstar you are.
